 Lori
Bryant - Woolridge is a best-selling author, writing coach,
motivational speaker, and advocate for healthy, sensual lifestyles. Her new
book, Weapons of Mass Seduction: a
Novel to Unleash the Sensual You,
part fiction, part flirt-manual, was released in May 2007, and selected as
the Essence Book Club’s summer selection. An Emmy-award winning writer, she
has also published Read Between the
Lies (Doubleday), Hitts & Mrs.
(Avon), and has contributed to several award-winning anthologies including
Gumbo: An Anthology of
African-American Fiction, Best Black Women’s Erotica and
Brown Sugar 3. Since 1998, in
addition to teaching creative writing, Lori has conducted
Unleashing the Sensual You,
Nǔit Brǔ Lante (Red Hot Night) and other popular workshops for various
women’s and writing groups. She is the co-founder of Mothers Off Duty, Inc.,
an organization dedicated to its members putting themselves on the list of
people they take care of. Lori is also a founding member of the Femme
Fantastik Tour, a literary designed to celebrate and empower women through
literature. She has spoken to
various corporate communities including IBM and Kraft Foods and at several
universities including the University of Maryland, Coppin State, New York
University and Spelman University. Lori has participated in many Women
Empowerment events including the Saturn Cars Women-to-Women Tour and the
African-American Women on Tour.
She has appeared on numerous television and radio programs, and has been
featured in a variety of national magazines including
Essence, Working Mother and the
Romantic Times.
